Alejandro Fernandez is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience in leading and growing multi-site physician practice management companies. He is the CEO of Synergy Orthopedic Specialists, the largest private orthopedic medical group in San Diego, CA, with over 50 providers, surgeons, and specialists across 15 locations, four physical therapy sites, an MRI center and 5 OR Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Alex has a proven track record of delivering operational excellence, financial performance, and strategic expansion in various specialties, including dermatology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics. He is also an advisor, investor, and board member for private equity and venture capital businesses in the healthcare sector. He holds a master's degree in business from the University of Miami and is a certified medical practice executive (CMPE) through the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He also received the 2024 Practice Executive of the Year from the American Alliance of Orthopedic Executives.
