David Kobasa

David Kobasa is the Practice Manager at South Shore Orthopedics in Hingham, MA. In this position, David is responsible for the operations of a multi-subspecialty regional orthopedic practice.

Prior to joining SSO, David Kobasa spent 12+ years with RehabCare as an Executive Director for Rehabilitation Services with Care New England (RI) and as an Area Rehab Director with RehabCare (Kindred) overseeing 17 skilled nursing facilities throughout the Northeast Region. In these roles, David was responsible for all clinical, operational, fiscal and human resource activity for his book(s) of business. David was also instrumental in business development activity and was able to double both revenue and contribution for his area during his tenure.

With over 20 years of clinical and Healthcare management experience in the post-acute sector, Mr. Kobasa has demonstrated consistent success in leadership, operations and customer service initiatives. In 2008, he received the Twiness Award from Sargent College for his alumni contributions to his school and community. He has given guest lectures at his alma mater Boston University (Sargent College) where he was a Division I student athlete who earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science (1998) and Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (2000). He has served on a community service board in his home town of Mansfield, MA (www.keepmansfield beautiful.com) and currently volunteers as a coach for youth sports, holds the position of Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts and is a member of various professional and community advisory boards.
