AAOE Advocacy Networking Brings Together Practice Managers and State Representatives in On-Site Visi

Welcome to my blog! I am a first time blogger and I would like to share a little about myself – my name is Kendry Tackett, Director of University Orthopaedic Surgeons, Knoxville TN. My career in Healthcare began when I was 16 years old and I have continued on this pathway for various reason. I have a passion for doing what is right, ensuring every patient receives quality healthcare treatment and I enjoy serving others. I have been in the Healthcare industry for 35 plus years and I find it very rewarding! I am very grateful for my years of experience in this industry as I have had an opportunity to increase my knowledge, meet and work alongside many supporting colleagues and team members!

In 2023 I became a member of the American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) which is considered an exceptional management association serving orthopaedic practice executives. AAOE has many membership benefits for actively engaged members, networking, and sharing information within our industry are just a few of their excellent services.

Most recently, Jake Kohn, VP, Government Relations provided information about opportunities and shared contact information for requesting government official phone conferences and in-office visits which we were able to provide tours of our Orthopaedic Institute to their staff. Again, just another added benefit of membership through this professional alliance.

Through this connection we have scheduled on-site visits for our State Congressman, Tim Burchett, as well as having visits from Senator Marsha Blackburn’s support staff which has led to our team extending an official invite to the Senator.
