Tools to Maximize Value of Benchmarking Results
In the coming months, AAOE will be providing new tools to help you prepare for and complete the AAOE Benchmarking Survey, use Benchmarking Results in your practice throughout the year, and make data-driven decisions with your physicians to improve patient care and promote practice growth.

Justification Tool: Return on Investment for the AAOE Benchmarking Survey
Use this tool to demonstrate the value of participating in the annual AAOE Benchmarking Survey to your physicians and management team.
[Updated] Schedule for Completing the AAOE Benchmarking Survey
Whether you start in March or June, scheduling time each week to complete the survey will spread out the workload and allow you to complete it accurately and on time. Use this tool to identify which sections to complete first, which sections to complete when you have a few free minutes, and which sections will require a longer period of dedicated time.
Incorporating Benchmarking Data into Monthly Tracking and Reporting
The AAOE Benchmarking Results are available to you whenever you need data to inform decisions at your practice. You can increase the visibility of benchmarks in your day to day work by incorporating them into your monthly and/or quarterly reports.
Using Benchmark Data to Get a Raise, Lower Your Overhead, and Increase Physician Compensation
This tool compiles recommendations from orthopedic practice administrators on what benchmarking metrics and reports to use when you are negotiating your salary, addressing concerns about overhead, and responding to physicians about their compensation.
